A THREE DAY DANCE FESTIVAL Indradhanush 2010 was conducted at the ICCR auditorium in collaboration with WE CAN END ALL VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN Campaign and ICCR from 15th to 17th January where young professionals in the seven classical dance forms from all over India participated and got accolades and exposure.

2009
BUDDING BLOSSOMS held a four day children’s’ day with sports, quiz fancy dress and painting competitions.
The Annual theory examinations were conducted at the centre held by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidhhyalaya Mandal – Miraj where 147 candidates appeared for their Bharatanatyam vocal and other exams.
The practical examinations were conducted from 28th November to 21st of December 2009 from Prarambik to Post graduation final year in performing arts.
The senior artistes of SUNAINA presented a performance Jai Maa Durge for the Paschimi Dilli Kali Badi for Dushehra.
Ten of our senior most Disciples were invited to Madurai – Meenakshi Amman Temple to perform in the Navarathiri festival.
The young children of Nrityabharati performed children’s stories for Doordarshan.
Kanaka Sudhakar gave an enlightening lecture for Akashwani Bhawan.
The senior most artists of NRITYABHARATI (TRAINING WING) presented Ashtalakshmi at Jaipur on the occasion of the marriage of the royal bride.
Kanaka Sudhakar, and her senior disciples presented a lecture demonstration at the IIC and also introduced Yogic aerobics a new system of movements designed for the middle aged on the day.
The senior artistes of SUNAINA presented a scintillating performance KRISHNA at the Birla Mandir on August 14th.
The junior Artistes of SUNAINA presented ‘Ganesha Nee Vaa at the Astika Samajam – Lawrence Road on 23rd of August.
On 2nd May 2009- SUNAINA presented CONFLUENCE – A MERGING OF TRADITIONS, an innovative performance where we showed a merging of Manipuri with Bharatanatyam, the Kathak with Bharatanatyam and a confluence of all. This was lauded by all dignitaries.
On 4th April SUNAINA Foundation Day was celebrated by donating free books and stationary to poor children from JJ colony Sultanpuri.
On 22nd April UDHAYAM- the rising a scintillating performance on Tamil New Year Day in collaboration with the Sahitya Kala Parishad was presented at Delhi Tamil Sangam I by the disciples and Guru Smt Kanaka Sudhakar in a dance drama Navarasa Nayaki.
On 28th April the education wing BMSCACs were taken out on an educational tour to Fun Town.
The results of the Dance and Music exams arrived with 98 % pass percentage.
The Tyagaraja Aradhana performance was organized at Karnataka Sangha and Ram Mandir.
A camp was held at Community centre Vikas Puri on Yogic Aerobics a new system codified by KALA KHOJ to benefit middle aged people for fitness and health with the help of Yogic and Classical dance movements.
A THREE DAY DANCE FESTIVAL Indradhanush 2009 was conducted at the DELHI TAMIL SANAGAM auditorium in collaboration with SPOWAC ( Society for the Promotion of Women and Child Welfare) from 11th to `14th of January where young professionals in the seven classical dance forms from all over India participated and got accolades and exposure. The Festival started with a seminar on the Therapeutic and beneficial effects of Indian Classical Dances and doctors from Physiotherapy, Psychiatry Yoga Specialists, acupressure specialist and music therapist participated. Shovana Narayan ji, Special social worker from Australia, Director Excise etc were the chief guests. Especially enthralling were the performances of Monoranjan Nayak and Raseswari (Odissi) from Orissa and Kirti Ramgopal (Bharatanatyam) from Bangalore.
The senior artists of SUNAINA performed a folk dance performance for Pongal at Tamil Nadu Bhawan.
BUDDING BLOSSOMS – the education wing of SUNAINA – performed its ANNUAL FUNCTION at the Arya Samaj auditorium, Krishna Park where about 80 students participated.
The training wing of SUNAINA conducted practical exams in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Hindustani Vocal, Tabla, and instrumental music from 1st December to 22nd December. Examiners came from, Meerut, Ahmedabad, Madras and Kanpur.
The talented children from age group of 5 to 25 were taken to Dehradun USSNA to participate in the National Level Dance competitions where Nrityabharati bagged 22 awards. One of our disciples Aparajita Sarma was awarded the Kala Vaibhavi Award.
Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Music performances were conducted for Ayyappa Puja Samiti in Dwaraka and Noida.
The training wing of SUNAINA, Nrityabharati, conducted annual dance and music theory exams fro 225 candidates on 24th November in theory in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Carnatic Vocal, Hindustani Vocal, Tabla and Instrumental.
The students of the training wing performed Bharatanatyam performances for Mandal Puja at Astika Samajam, Lawernce Road, Ayyappa Temple premises R.K. Puram, Ayyappa Temple Pushpavihar etc.
Kanaka Sudhakar along with her trainees conducted awareness camps at schools of West Delhi.
